It was a sunny blue bird day here in Sled Den country…..not a cloud in the sky.
Here's my ride with my son.
We rode AREA X today and found some nice pow - with just a hint of a crust. Most of the spots we rode were either crusty ‘cause they were too low in elevation….. and the magic number happened to be 2800 feet. Under that, we had to find spots that had lots of trees or were on the east side of the mountains. The sun had made a crust on all other sides.
Heading back to another place we rode yesterday, we found more pow pow there……And even some spots with no crust at all……
....follow the tracks to find the sledder.....
Did I mention we rode all over and saw almost no tracks….? NOT A SLED …. We rode 5 huge cuts that
no one had been in ……we didn't burn them, but we had….. fun!
The trails are groomed and 3 tracks in 3 days. Hmmm….guess everyone thinks there’s no snow..lol...I believe we will ride trails for 3 or more weeks
Up high....lol....you will see….
What a beautiful day in the mountains we had …. Jack
ATTENTION: All you trail riders out there: if you've ever wanted to try some off trail mountain riding, APRIL is the best time.......
Back at the Sled Den...I guess my 'sled carrier' needs a wash.....
